Zoom meeting fatigue is real. Spatial online meetings are something different. It is like a big SIMS game but with real people. The environments can look like fancy offices and amazing nature. You can access them from your PC and if you have a VR set then even better, you’ll be fully immersed.
During the lockdown, I explored some virtual worlds. I find the online environment that gives a sense of space to be much better than the regular 2D meeting tools like Skype or Teams.
I’ve researched some excellent platforms so I can host my free writing workshop on one of them. I’ve found these three top virtual reality online meeting websites I love.
Mozilla Hubs
Mozilla is a browser just like Chrome is. They have developed this virtual world of theirs that you can access right in the browser. You don’t even need a strong PC. Everyone can join, even from a phone.
MeetinVR
This is software designed for conferences, meetings and workshops online in VR. For this you need to install the over 1 GB sized file that allows meetings in beautiful aesthetic spaces.
Spatial
This is more like a proper virtual world; you’re entering the meta verse here. You’ll have to search for a meeting space from the vast array of options.
Others are worth mentioning:
Horizon Workrooms by Meta
This comprises virtual meeting rooms. You can easily access and start collaborating.
AltspaceVR by Microsoft
This is a virtual world. You’ll have to search for a meeting space from multiple options.
If you are looking for digital solutions to make your work or business processes more efficient, I may help you.
