In November 2023, Danielle posted a video on TikTok that went viral. She showed her Stanley Cup, which she had recovered from her burnt car, and it was still intact. The video quickly gained popularity and caught the attention of the Stanley company. As a result, they sent her a replacement cup. The CEO of the company was impressed by the video’s popularity and decided to offer her a new car. This was a hit. People were impressed by the gesture and the quality of the product. As a result, they went and bought their own Stanley cups.

Which new car did she get?

A month later, Danielle, the woman who shared her Stanley cup on TikTok after the car fire, picked her 2024 Mazda CX 90, to replace her totaled KIA Sorrento. The new car is valued in between 41 and 61 K.

The frenzy

This January, social media has been filled with viral videos about the Stanley Cup. Memes abound, and it has become a phenomenon, with many people receiving it as a Christmas gift. A brand that originally targeted blue-collar men in 1920 has now diversified into a desirable object available in a wide variety of colors, mainly for women. Three months later, you can buy all sorts of accessories, from hoodies to hangers and cute straw caps.

Starbucks has collaborated with Stanley to release a limited number of glittering pink stainless steel cups. These cups have been making waves at Target, where the ‘Galentine’s Collection’ featuring Cosmo pink and Target Red colors is in high demand. Viral videos of people rushing to get their hands on these cups have garnered over 20 million views. Additionally, singer Lainey Wilson and brand Oley are also planning collaborations with Stanley.

Is the Stanley video real?

Some people wonder if the Stanley Cup car fire video is real. I believe it is authentic. It is an example of accidental marketing. The cup is made of steel, so it is logical that it would not melt in a fire.

Many wonder why the straw didn’t melt. The Stanley Cup was in the cup holder, the dashboard, windshield and engine were burned only. From the video, you can see that the seats were not touched by the fire, but they were probably exposed to high heat. I think the mug was not in direct or close contact with the flames. This allowed the cup to remain intact, including the plastic materials. People should keep in mind that only the front part of the car burned down and not the whole car. The fire was extinguished by the firefighters who arrived on the scene.

How much did Stanley make?

The Stanley brand is owned by Pacific Market International (PMI). There is no information about how much they’ve earned since November last year. However, there are some statements from the past.

The company enjoyed a $676 million increase in revenue from 2019 to 2023, according to CNBC. In 2022, there was a 275% increase in sales of the Quencher, another product of theirs. Last year, the tumblers were trendy on a watertok trend where Tik Tokers were making flavored water concoctions in their Stanley cups, before the viral Stanley car fire video.

In November 2023 Danielle’s car fire video allowed the product to skyrocket on social media and become a must have item and a go-to Christmas gift.

Her story

With her 93 million views Tik Tok video, turning the Stanley tumblers viral in just 24 hours, and then again three months later, into a whole frenzy with thousands of viral memes and videos, I think she deserves a brand new car and the Stanley Cups she got. I’d also give her a check and free Stanley Cups for her and her family for life. Because she really made this company huge profits and took it to the highest level it’s ever been. True, a mix of accidental marketing, TikTok’s algorithm, a good marketing decision to support her and buy her a new car, her ability and openness to collaborate, her making and editing the video to upload to TikTok, all aspects mixed together, has led to the We are Stanley Cup Owners memes and all this viral outcome worth millions.
